A highly experienced and professional Permanent Live-In Nanny is required to care for a 7-month-old baby girl in a sophisticated household in Kensington, W8, London. The role is ideal for a structured, senior career nanny with a proven track record of longevity in similar roles.

This position offers a unique opportunity to join a high-profile household and support a child’s growth and development in a stable, long-term role.

Start Date: February 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out all nursery duties, including child-related cleaning and laundry.
  • Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for the child.
  • Planning creative activities and aiding the child’s early years development and education.
  • Taking the child to and from nursery.
  • Occasional proxy-parenting.
  • Babysitting: Up to 2 nights per week.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience as a nanny, preferably in a structured household.
  • Formal childcare qualification (e.g., Montessori, Norland, Chiltern) will be an advantage.
  • Current First Aid Certificate and Enhanced DBS Certificate.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of an additional European language is a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel 6–8 weeks mid-December to February (Caribbean) and 3–4 weeks in August (Monaco). Flexibility is key, with six working days during the day required when traveling.
  • UK/English passport preferred.
  • Must be comfortable with two cats in the household.
  • Fun, loving and bubbly personality.

Work conditions

  • Days of Work: Monday to Friday
  • Hours of Work: 5:45 AM – 6:30 PM or 24/4 plus Friday day (flexible).
  • Accommodation: A separate flat adjacent to the Principal’s flat is provided. Some bedrooms may be used for occasional guest accommodation on weekends. The nanny is preferred to vacate the flat on Friday evenings to make room for the weekend nanny.
  • Contract Type: Permanent employment on payroll (no self-employed arrangements).
  • Holidays: 4 weeks annual leave, to be split throughout the year.
  • Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
