Position: Internal Household Staff Manager
Location: East Hampton, NY
Compensation: $150,000+ DOE + Benefits 
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week (6 days/week from June–Labor Day)

A prominent East Hampton family is seeking a highly experienced and professional Internal Household Staff Manager to oversee all interior operations across a multi-home estate. This role is ideal for a seasoned Head Housekeeper who has successfully led housekeeping teams and is ready to step into a broader household staff management position focused on coordination, communication, and maintaining high service standards across the compound.

This position reports directly to the Property Manager, who oversees the estate as a whole. Internal Staff Manager will lead 3 full-time housekeepers and additional staff, supporting operations across all homes and assisting with event and meal coordination as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and schedule internal household staff across all residences on the property
  • Maintain top-tier standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organization throughout the estate
  • Participate in hands-on housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and silver polishing IF needed
  • Assist with setup and support for family meals and informal gatherings (no cooking required)
  • Liaise with chefs, kitchen staff, and vendors to support larger events and dinners
  • Ensure seamless communication between internal staff and the Property Manager
  • Oversee household readiness and turnover between family visits or guest stays
  • Provide onboarding and training for junior or seasonal housekeepers

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A strong background in high-end residential housekeeping
  • Proven leadership experience managing a team in a private household setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and discretion
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster a respectful, team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise between staff and principals
  • Fluency or strong working proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred (essential for internal team communication)
  • Flexibility to adjust to a dynamic household with changing priorities and seasonal shifts
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude and willingness to step into both managerial and operational tasks

Schedule & Seasonal Requirements

  • September–May: 5-day workweek
  • June–Labor Day: 6-day workweek
