We are seeking an experienced, bilingual House Manager to oversee the smooth operation of a primary residence in Delray Beach, Florida, along with five additional condominiums, all within close proximity. This is a hands-on, live-out role that requires excellent leadership, organizational, and hospitality skills.
Reporting directly to the Director of Residences, the House Manager will lead a team of six (five Housekeepers and one Housekeeping Manager), ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and discretion across all properties, and travel to the family’s New York property during the summer is optional, not required.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Property Oversight
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the primary Delray Beach residence and five nearby condos
- Supervise, schedule, and provide ongoing support and training to a team of six housekeeping professionals
- Ensure all properties are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and readiness, whether occupied or vacant
- Conduct regular walkthroughs and inspections to proactively identify and resolve issues
Vendor & Facilities Management
- Liaise with contractors and vendors for repairs, maintenance, and service coordination
- Maintain accurate records of warranties, service logs, and supply inventory
- Collaborate with the House and Facilities Manager at vacation properties in New York when needed
Meal Preparation & Dietary Coordination
- Prepare simple daily meals aligned with the principals’ dietary needs:
- Mrs. follows a FODMAP and gluten-free diet
- Mr. follows a protein-based diet
- Oversee and support a trained housekeeper who assists with cooking
- Procure food items and manage occasional orders from a local beach club
Administrative & Lifestyle Support
- Assist with calendar and appointment management for the principals
- Plan and manage household errands, pet care (vet and grooming), and household inventory
- Support special events, interior design projects, and property logistics as needed
- Ensure smooth transitions when principals travel between homes, though they are in residence only about four months of the year
Required Skills & Attributes
- Fluent in English and Spanish (bilingual required)
- Prior experience as a House Manager, Estate Manager, or in a similar private home role
- Strong leadership and people management abilities
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Service-driven, discreet, and professional with a calm, proactive demeanor
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and household systems
