Location: San Francisco, CA (New York candidates also considered)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM (with flexibility for occasional weekends, evenings, and overnights)

Position Overview

A warm, loving family in San Francisco is seeking an experienced and nurturing Full-Time Nanny to care for their 8-month-old infant. As first-time parents, they’re looking for a professional who can provide knowledgeable guidance, consistency, and genuine care, while adapting to the child’s needs as they grow and develop.This is a long-term opportunity for a dedicated nanny who is passionate about early childhood development and forming meaningful relationships. The family values flexibility, open communication, and a collaborative spirit, and hopes to find a nanny who will become a trusted partner in their parenting journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for the infant.
  • Maintain and follow a consistent daily routine (feeding, naps, diapering, playtime).
  • Prepare bottles and support the transition to solid foods.
  • Plan and engage in enriching, age-appropriate activities (tummy time, sensory play, music, reading).
  • Ensure safe sleep practices and maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
  • Keep parents regularly updated on the child’s progress, behavior, and needs.
  • Manage baby-related tasks including laundry, bottle cleaning, and tidying nursery and play areas.
  • Track and replenish baby supplies as needed.
  • Drive the child to outings, appointments, or classes (valid driver’s license required; family vehicle provided once they relocate to the Peninsula).
  • Travel domestically and internationally with the family; handle packing and logistics for the baby.
  • Provide occasional evening, weekend, or overnight care, with flexibility reciprocated by the family.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of full-time nanny experience, with a focus on infant and toddler care.
  • Experience supporting first-time parents is highly valued.
  • Deep understanding of developmental milestones, infant safety, feeding, and sleep routines.
  • Energetic and active—comfortable engaging in walks, outdoor play, and exploration with the child.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work as a team with parents.
  • Calm, warm, and patient demeanor, with a strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing needs or schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Prior travel experience as a nanny, ideally domestically and internationally, with an understanding of how to help babies/children adjust well to new timezones.
  • Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become certified before start).
  • Must have a valid passport and be open to travel.
  • Clean background check and glowing references required.
  • A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Infant Care, or Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) training is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $50-65/hr - minimum 40 hours per week guaranteed + OT
