Professional and fast paced couple in Paradise Valley seeking a fun, flexible and creative Chef! No kids yet but seeking someone to be long term and grow with the family! This is a full-time position with seasonal travel to a summer residence in northern Idaho. Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, service oriented with friendly and professional personality. Ability to be flexible and adapt to last minute changes is a must! Prior experience in a private residence is preferred.
Primary responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner for the principals and guests.
- Preparing weekly menu's
- Maintaining pantry inventory/ drinks refrigerator
- Making fresh sourdough bread twice weekly, preferably no store bought breads
- Prepping organic grab and go snacks in the fridge
- Preparing meals for days off, maintaining small inventory of frozen options
- Preparation of fresh dog food
This position requires summer travel to Idaho (10 days this July, longer beginning summer of 2026) and preparing meals for large groups and children while at the lake house. Additional staff members in the home include an estate manager, butler, two housekeepers and handyman.
The principals do entertain often and would love to find someone who thrives in a fast pased environment! Dinner parties of 6-10+ people multiple times per month are common and large events a few times a year, hosting around 100 people. Chef is responsible for sourcing additional kitchen staff / servers as needed and will work along side the estate manager for party rentals and menu approval from the clients.
Applicants must be flexible with schedules, have excellent organizational skills, experienced in many facets of cooking and maintain high standards and efficiency. Knowledge of programs such as fitness pal, counting macros and overall wellness tracking would be appreciated!
Daily schedule: Breakfast around 7am
Lunch around 10:30/11am – often a drop off meal to the office
Dinner served at 5:30pm
Willingness to travel with the family and work weekends and holidays as required. The schedule is working when the family is in residence and days off will typically be when family is out of residence. Schedule will vary depending on principals’ heavy travel schedule. Must be ok to sometimes work 7-10 day periods followed by multiple days off when the family is traveling (typically 2x/month for 4-5+days).Principals also tend to have 1 or 2 nights a week of dining out for dinner. Flexibility is key!
Compensation:
Salary 150k+ DOE, paid biweekly. Benefits package including health insurance, 2 weeks paid vacation, 1 week sick.
