We are seeking an experienced, organised, and highly motivated Live-Out House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a luxury private residence in Dubai. The House Manager will be responsible for the management of a team of 5 household staff members and will ensure the seamless running of the property, overseeing housekeeping, maintenance, service standards, and all logistical requirements. The role requires a highly proactive individual with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as an impeccable eye for detail.
A critical part of the role is to ensure each team member works efficiently and maintains the high standards of service expected by the family. Additionally, the House Manager will provide ongoing training and guidance, helping staff members develop professionally and meet the family’s expectations. Scheduling will be managed by the House Manager, ensuring that the household is always adequately staffed, with coordination of time off, overtime, and staff workload to ensure balance.
In terms of household operations, the House Manager will be responsible for ensuring the property is always kept in pristine condition. This includes overseeing the regular cleaning and organization of all areas, both interior and exterior, and ensuring that all tasks are completed. The House Manager will also coordinate the arrangements for visitors, ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained for guests. The House Manager will handle the organization of small events or gatherings at the residence, liaising between the chef and butler.
The principal does travel often so he is ideally looking for someone who can maintain high standards all year round and manage the team whilst he is travelling. Working hours are around 11 hours per day over 6-7 days per week, when the principal is not in-residence time is given back in lieu. Our client is ideally looking for someone to start as soon as possible, so the ideal candidate should already be based in Dubai.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Recruitment & management of staff to ensure very high standards and the property is always visited ready
- Training staff to ensure consistent results
- Event organising from dinner parties to social events
- Check and monitor property daily to ensure all is in good order and working. Report any issues to the maintenance team
- Administration and budget control
- Manage household inventories and keep updated
- Purchase materials/supplies for the household
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- At least 5 years House Manager experience supporting an international, UHNW family
- Operationally focused and tech-savvy
- Proactive, hands-on, motivated, enthusiastic, personable, organised, strong eye for detail, and well presented
- A good all-rounder with common sense
- Fluent English – spoken and written
- Excellent checkable references
