Part-Time Housekeeper

Position Summary

We are seeking a part-time, live-out housekeeper for a large private residence. You will perform all formal housekeeping duties to maintain the general upkeep of the residence. The ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented, be able to follow through with tasks assigned and can work independently.

 Core Responsibilities

• Vacuum and clean carpets and perform further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal, as needed.
• Clean cat litter boxes and take out trash.
• Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of hardwood, or tile floors, as needed.
• Continually inspect the cleanliness of residence from top to bottom floor inspecting all furniture, carpets, upholstery, floors, blinds, windows, curtains and report any damage or concerns/issues to the property manager.
• Dust and polish furniture and room accessories.
• Scrub sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters.
• Assist with seasonal holiday decorations on the interior and exterior.
• Water indoor plants and flowers.
• Pack away items or clothing in a way that makes it easy for the family to find.
• Iron clothing and linens, as needed.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and housekeeping tools are maintained in good working order and are properly cared for.
• Driving is required for occasional errands such as grocery shopping, getting additional cleaning supplies or collection of dry cleaning.

 Core Knowledge and Skills

• Must have experience working in a large, private home.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must maintain the utmost professionalism and be sensitive to personal matters while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, squat, crouch, bend and crawl. Ability to lift, push and pull items up to 30 lbs.
• Impeccable attention to detail.
• Ability to work and prioritize tasks independently.
• Must be comfortable around pets (cats and dogs).
• Possess exceptional integrity, discretion, tact, and accountability, with a primary objective to serve and protect the family’s interests in all regards.
• Must be able to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal and credit checks.

 Additional Details:

• Part-time starting with 2 days per week. The number of days may increase, if requested by family.
