Travel: Flexibility to accompany the family to other residences outside of the Boston area (domestic travel)

Job Overview:
A private family seeks to hire a professional Private Chef with a strong culinary background to prepare healthy, organic, and diverse meals while managing the household’s kitchen. The ideal candidate must have experience working in Michelin-starred restaurants, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and possess a warm, professional demeanor.
This role involves preparing meals, hosting occasional dinner parties, and managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including shopping, pantry management, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.

- Food Photos: 8-10 plated, styled dishes showcasing your cooking style and creativity. No family style photos. Formal plated dishes only.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily lunch and dinners
- Create meals that focus on organic, healthy, fresh, and low-calorie cuisine while accommodating dietary restrictions (no scallops, pork, lamb, Tilapia, Cod, or octopus).
- Develop diverse menus encompassing a variety of cuisines, including Italian, French, Asian, and Mediterranean.
- Prepare snacks, meal prep for later consumption, and packed meals for travel
- Provide plated service for formal dining
- Ensure meal presentation meets the family’s expectations for elegance and quality.
- Coordinate additional help for larger gatherings or events as needed.
- Handle grocery shopping, pantry organization, and inventory management.
- Track and manage food budgets and expenses.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the kitchen at all times.
- Work closely with the Estate and Household management staff and housekeepers to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as a professional chef, with a background in Michelin-starred restaurants and having worked with HNW families and individuals.
- Formal Culinary training and completed Culinary Degree
- Proven longevity in roles, with at least one position lasting 2 years or more.
- Expertise in a variety of cuisines, with a focus on healthy, organic, and farm-to-table cooking.
- Polite, kind, and well-mannered demeanor with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and occasional travel requirements.
- Valid Driver’s License
