A lovely family is looking for a temporary, full-time, live-in housekeeper in Nantucket, Massachusetts this Summer from approximately Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Ideally this person would be based out of New York so they can trial in New York, then be able to spend the Summer with them in Nantucket. The live-in accommodation in Nantucket is a private bedroom/bathroom on a separate floor, with its own entrance. The family includes the mother, father, 4-year-old girl, and 2-year-old girl. They do not have any pets. Other staff includes a nanny.
This person must have several years experience in a private residence. The housekeeper will maintain the cleanliness of the home, do the families' laundry/ironing/steaming, perhaps run some simple errands including grocery shopping, and do light meal prep. To be successful in this role, you must be friendly and engaging with the children, but also know how to read the room and give the family and guests space.
Hours will ideally be working 6-days per week, 8-hours per day with some downtime during the week. There may be some weekends with longer days, but additional time off will be given during the week. Overtime will be paid for time over 40-hours per week. The family is offering a discretionary bonus at the end of the Summer. It will be a major bonus if you have a valid drivers' license and would be comfortable driving in Nantucket. The housekeeper must have their U.S. Birth Certificate, valid U.S. Passport, or valid Permanent Resident Card.
