Luxury Home Housekeeper (locals only)

Position Overview

Schedule/Hours: 9am – 5pm with ability to stay later when Principals are in Residence.

We are working with a distinguished household seeking a dedicated and professional housekeeper to join their team. The residence is a large estate in the West Lake Hills area of Austin. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring flexibility and adaptability from the staff. While the Principal is only occasionally in residence, the home is maintained in a ready state at all times.  

The household consists of multiple family members and two existing staff members, creating a collaborative and supportive team environment. The Principals values discretion, professionalism, and a high level of service and privacy. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a proactive service mindset. They should be hyper detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to maintain a harmonious household environment. 

Confidentiality, discretion, professionalism, and a desire to have a positive impact are of the highest priority.  This professional should be able to give and receive feedback with grace and encouragement.

Position Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience as a W2 employee in a HNW Residence.
• Established longevity.
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
• High level of discretion, loyalty, integrity, and honesty.
•  Highly organized and excellent eye for detail.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Capable of passing an extensive background check and BAI interview.
• Proven housekeeping expertise, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and laundry.
• Familiarity with organic cleaning products and techniques.
• High EQ with strong interpersonal sensitivity and a soft touch.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality (critical requirement).
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and last-minute requests. 
• Positive attitude and collaborative spirit.
• Basic computer skills to assist in creating household documentation.
• Flexibility to travel as needed. (Rotational amongst staff)
• Advanced knowledge of the care of specialty surfaces found in luxury homes.

Position Duties & Key Success Factors

• Full-Charge Housekeeping, including Housekeeping, House Cleaning & Deep Cleaning.
• Keep your designated are clean and organized and assist others when needed.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Maintain cleanliness of various surfaces, including real wood floors and marble.
• Laundry duties, including ironing and folding clothes, and organizing closets in a specific manner preferred by the Principal.
• Assist with outdoor cleaning tasks, such as leaf blowing and cleaning outdoor furniture.
• Collaborate effectively with existing staff to ensure seamless operations.
• Report directly to the HR/office manager for any questions, concerns, or scheduling needs.
• Participate in the development of a household manual and checklist to standardize cleaning procedures.==
• Adapt to last-minute changes in schedule or tasks as required by the Principal's presence.
• Ability to take and manage photographs for documentation and training purposes.
