Start Date: Mid-August (can be flexible for the right candidate)
Local candidates only
We’re seeking a talented, efficient, and highly organized Part-Time Personal Chef for a busy family of four (two adults and two children) based in Hillsborough, CA. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and responsive to feedback, with a strong ability to work independently while maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen. They should be efficient in all aspects of their work – sourcing, prepping, cooking, and cleaning – and experienced in both private homes and fine dining kitchens. This person should be discreet, respectful of household boundaries, comfortable accommodating dietary needs (including dairy-free meals), and able to plan and communicate proactively.
The family enjoys high-quality, seasonal meals made with local, organic, and sustainable ingredients. Their preferred cuisines include Californian, Mediterranean, Indian, Asian, Mexican, and American, with an appreciation for plant-forward and occasional vegetarian dishes. They would love for the Chef to incorporate fruits and vegetables from their on-property garden whenever possible. The role will report to the family’s long-time House Manager – the hired candidate must be a strong, organized communicator!
Please note: the target start date for this role is mid-August, though the client is open to adjusting the timeline for the right candidate.
