Position: Laundress/Housekeeper

Role Overview:
A lovely family in New York City is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laundress/Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and organization of their home while providing high-quality laundry care. The ideal candidate will be experienced in caring for fine garments and linens, performing detailed housekeeping tasks, and must be comfortable working in a home with pets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Laundry and Wardrobe Care:

  • Wash, dry, and iron clothing, linens, and other household items with expertise in handling delicate fabrics.
  • Perform minor mending or repairs as needed.
  • Organize and maintain wardrobes and closets, ensuring items are properly cared for and stored.

• Housekeeping:

  • Perform general housekeeping tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
  • Keep the home organized and presentable, paying attention to detail and family preferences.

• Pet-Friendly Duties:

  • Be comfortable working in a home with pets and assist with basic pet-related tasks as needed (e.g., cleaning pet areas).

• Additional Responsibilities:

  • Monitor household supplies and notify the family when restocking is needed.
  • Assist with occasional errands or other light household tasks as requested.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Laundress/Housekeeper in a private household.
• Expertise in high-end garment care, including knowledge of fabrics, stain removal, and ironing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be comfortable working in a home with pets and assisting with pet-related tasks.
• Discretion, reliability, and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
• Ability to work independently while taking direction when needed.
