Part-Time After School Nanny for Busy Family in Needham, MA!

This is an exciting opportunity for a reliable, organized, and patient nanny to join a warm and welcoming family with three school-aged children.

Location: Needham, MA

Children: Three children (11B, 9B, 6G)

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 1:00pm - 6:00pm (20 hours guaranteed); potential for increased hours in the summer

Compensation: $35 - $40/hour

Benefits: The family is offering 2 weeks of paid vacation (nanny chooses one week), paid major federal holiday, 5 paid sick days, and an annual raise, and is open to providing a health care stipend if needed.

Live-Out: This is a live-out role.

A warm and active family in Needham, MA is seeking a reliable and proactive part-time nanny to provide care for their three children after school. The parents have busy schedules--mom works from a home office and dad works just 10 minutes away. The family has one dog and four cats (no pet care required) and also owns a horse at a nearby barn. They provide a family vehicle for the nanny's use. The role focuses on childcare and household organization to support the family's busy routine. The nanny will be responsible for engaging the children in activities, preparing their meals, and keeping their belongings tidy and organized.

The family is seeking a dependable, patient, and honest nanny who uses positive reinforcement and fosters a warm and engaging environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing household tasks alongside childcare responsibilities. They should be skilled at keeping children engaged, assisting with transitions between school and home activities, and creating a structured yet fun atmosphere. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• School pick-ups and after-school care, including homework support

• Engaging the children in age-appropriate activities 

• Meal preparation for the children 

• Light tidying and household organization 

• Kitchen upkeep and laundry for the children 

• Household inventory and seasonal clothing organization

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with children 

• Must have a valid driver's license

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. 

• Comfortable working in a home where parents are present
