Travel-Ready ROTA Nanny Needed in San Francisco

 San Francisco, CA as the primary workplace. Frequent travel to the family’s other residences located within a 45-mile radius of San Francisco. Domestic and international travel will be required as requested by the family.

 $35-$40/hour commensurate with experience plus 1.5 times for overtime ($52.5-$60/hr) + health benefits offered and 401k options, paid time off, cell-phone stipend, and mileage reimbursement at the IRS mileage rate.

 Guarantee of 80 hours every 2 weeks. 24 hour shifts. The schedule will be adjusted week by week and will be shared between two nannies.

Household:

  • A professional family in San Francisco seeks a full-time nanny to care for their 6-year-old and 3-month-old children.
  • The 6-year-old attends school during the weekdays, and the nanny will primarily care for the baby during the day.
  • The schedule will vary weekly, with 24-hour shifts, including overnight and weekend care. Private sleeping accommodations will be provided during overnight shifts.
  • This is a full-time position, guaranteeing 80 hours every two weeks and sharing the total weekly hours with another nanny. 
  • The family travels domestically and internationally, requiring the nanny to travel with them. The schedule may vary and flexbility is needed.
  • They prefer local candidates but may consider exceptional non-local candidates. Candidates would need to secure their own housing.

  • The ideal candidate is comfortable with assisting with routines for feeding, sleeping, and activities/playtime working with the parents to ensure alignment with the children’s developmental stage and the parents' preferences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Working closely with the parents including giving them regular updates, other caregivers, and staff. Maintaining open communication, ensuring continuity of care, and adherence to the parents desired parenting philosophies.  
  • Dependable, punctual, and flexible, with a commitment to providing consistent and reliable care and adaptable to accommodate scheduling changes.

Duties:

  • Child-related housekeeping tasks, such as washing bottles and dishes, children’s laundry and cleaning/organizing bedrooms and play areas, cleaning toys.
  • Assist with dishes, taking out trash and recycling, stocking the refrigerator, and removing empty boxes
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
  • Drive to activities, appointments, school, etc.
  • Support family during travel, local visits, and general outings.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of paid, professional experience working with multiple children that occurred over the age of 18 (not for family or friends) with excellent references.
  • Experience working with siblings or multiple children at one time.
  • Education/child development background and NCS training preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and a strong driving record.
  • Domestic and international travel as needed and have a current and valid passport and travel documents
  • Current on all vaccines including the Tdap, flu, and Covid vaccines.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Legal work authorization in the U.S.
  • Can make at least a one-year commitment.
