We are seeking an experienced Private Chef for a UHNW family in Columbus, Ohio, starting in August 2025. This is a full-time position with trials to be held throughout June and July. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating exceptional meals, highly organized, and comfortable working in a private home setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Menu Planning: Collaborate with principals to plan weekly menus that are seasonal, nutritious, and tailored to dietary preferences and restrictions.
• Daily Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve lunch and dinner five days a week. Occasional breakfast and weekend meals may be required.
• Culinary Variety: Execute a diverse range of cuisines — from everyday family meals to formal dinners and holiday feasts.
• Shopping & Inventory: Handle grocery shopping, manage pantry inventory, and source the freshest local and organic ingredients.
• Meal Presentation & Service: Present food attractively and, when needed, provide plated or family-style service.
• Events & Entertaining: Support the family during gatherings, special events, and holidays — planning and executing elevated menus.
• Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean, organized kitchen, including stock rotation, sanitation, and occasional coordination with vendors or service professionals.
• Nutrition & Wellness: Be mindful of health-focused meal options and accommodate requests for plant-based, gluten-free, or other specific diets.
Work Hours:
Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, but flexibility is essential to accommodate family events, holidays, and occasional weekends.
Compensation:
Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 per annum
Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Private Chef or in high-end hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of seasonal ingredients, global cuisines, and wellness-focused cooking.
• Discreet, reliable, and professional.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with household staff.
• Culinary degree preferred but not required.
