Domestic Couple – Texas
We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Domestic Couple to support a isolated luxury property in Texas. Our clients are discreet, family-oriented Texans who use the property a few times per year for relaxing visits with their children and grandchildren. The property is maintained in pristine condition year-round, and the Domestic Couple will play a key role in ensuring seamless operations and providing resort-style service when the family is in residence.
The family is friendly and polite, but clear boundaries are essential as they prioritize privacy during their stays. The property provides an outdoor lifestyle, with activities such as hunting, horseback riding, and enjoying nature.
Please note: This opportunity is also open to individuals with proven experience as House Managers or Chef/Managers.
Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical Systems & Outdoor Maintenance:
- Oversee all mechanical systems, including generators, wells, pumps, and the latest smart home technology.
- Support outdoor maintenance, including pools, ATVs, hunting equipment, and other property-related tools.
- Coordinate and manage vendor services while maintaining a hands-on approach for minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
- Work closely with the team maintaining the property grounds (approximately 5 acres).
2. Housekeeping & Interior Maintenance:
- Handle housekeeping duties, inventory management, and wardrobe coordination.
- Manage part-time housekeepers and ensure the interior is spotless and well-organized.
- Prepare family-style Tex-Mex and American barbecue meals.
3. Guest Management & Service:
- Provide warm, welcoming service to family members and guests during visits.
- Serve meals formally and assist with hosting, ensuring a polished and professional presentation at all times.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced Couple: Mature, physically fit, and experienced in similar roles, preferably in remote or private settings.
- Strong Communication: Ability to interact seamlessly with the family, service providers, and the family office, while respecting the chain of command.
- Self-Starter: Proactive and confident in taking ownership of the property, acting as the main point of contact between all stakeholders.
- Cooking Skills: While Michelin-level cooking is not required, strong family-style culinary skills, especially in Tex-Mex and barbecue cuisine, are essential.
Qualifications:
- Verifiable references and a clean criminal background.
- Proven experience in similar roles with a genuine passion for country living.
- Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
- Tech-savvy and experienced with family office communications.
- Team-oriented yet capable of working independently.
Additional Information:
- Start Date: April/May 2025
- Housing: A private 3 bedroom house is provided for the couple, along with a vehicle for work use.
- Relocation Assistance: Available for the right candidates.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $180,000–$210,000 per year, DOE (dependent on experience).
- 2 weeks of paid vacation.
- 1 week of sick leave.
- Medical and 401(k) contributions.
