Location: East Hampton, NY
Compensation: $110,000–$115,000 base salary (flexible for the right candidate) + overtime + benefits
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week (6 days/week from June–Labor Day)

A prominent East Hampton family is seeking a professional and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping operations across a multi-home estate. The property includes several homes on one compound, each occupied by members of the immediate family and their guests, with activity peaking during the summer season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a team of three additional full-time housekeepers, plus seasonal staff
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation across all homes
• Participate in hands-on cleaning tasks
• Oversee laundry, ironing, and silver polishing, particularly in the off-season
• Coordinate food service during family meals and small gatherings (no cooking required)
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff during larger events and dinners
• Maintain clear communication with family members, vendors, and fellow staff
• Assist with property readiness and turnover between guests or family visits
• Provide training and support for junior housekeepers as needed

Schedule & Seasonal Needs:

• 5-day workweek during the off-season (approx. September–May)
• 6-day workweek in the summer (June–Labor Day)
• Typical shifts are 8–10 hours/day, with overtime paid after 40 hours/week
• Must be flexible to work longer hours and assist with dinner service during busy periods

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A strong background in high-end residential housekeeping
• Experience managing or mentoring a housekeeping team
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• A collaborative, professional demeanor with excellent discretion
• Spanish language skills or at least a working understanding (essential for team communication)
• Flexibility to adapt to seasonal needs and a dynamic family schedule
• Willingness to roll up their sleeves and contribute wherever needed

Additional Details:

• The estate serves a large family, plus staff and guests
• Staff housing is available for short-term stays but this is a live-out position
