Live-out Cook/Housekeeper job in Kensington, West London

A delightful couple living in Kensington are looking for a full-time Housekeeper/Cook to help them out. You must be proactive and able to manage your time and workload efficiently and work autonomously. The couple has two grown-up children, who live elsewhere and occasionally pop in or come to stay. They will also employ a part-time cleaner to help you out with the heavy-duty cleaning and help with laundry & ironing. Your role will consist of 50 % Housekeeping and 50% Cooking. The ideal candidate will be positive, flexible and looking for longevity.

Your duties will include:

• Family style cooking - this could be 3 meals a day, mostly for the female Principal, but also her husband when he is in residence and also their children on occasions if visiting. They enjoy a variety of cuisines, in particular Indian, Middle-Eastern, Asian and Mediterranean style dishes
• Cooking for smaller dinner parties for up to 8-10 guests
• Travelling with the employers to their homes
• Light housekeeping- cleaning, organising and ironing the table linen, silver polishing, dusting, etc.
• Provisioning for the kitchen
• Liaising with contractors

House: a large apartment

Days: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work weekends occasionally

Hours: 10 hours per day from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm

Salary: £40k to £48k gross per annum (subject to experience)
