A private family in the Plandome, NY seeks an experienced professional Family Assistant / House Manager to assist with the care of their children 7, 10, & 12 and residence. The chosen candidate should be outgoing, energetic, and preferably with an educational background to better anticipate the needs of the family. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing all aspects of childcare while creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
- Exercise common sense and can take initiative in order to accomplish tasks and make decisions
- Driving children to and from appointments and activities
- Ensuring the safety of the children at all times
- Manage children’s day-to-day schedule
- Packing and unpacking children’s belongings as needed
- Maintain a constant line of communication and report to the parents
- Running errands and procuring children supplies as needed
- Conducting inventory and procuring supplies
- Grocery and food shopping
- Support with Administrative tasks
- Booking appointments and reservations
- Overseeing contractors
The typical schedule is Monday – Friday with two days off (Weekends). 1pm-9pm. Salary is generous but depends on experience
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years related experience working for Private Residences and children
- Excellent references required from current and previous employers
- Certification in CPR & First Aid
- Polished, poised, and professional
- Loyal, discreet, and sagacious
- Intelligent with strong problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Must be okay with Pets
- Good swimming abilities
- Flexibility to work overtime, nights and weekends
- Valid driver’s license
- US work authorization
