We are a lively family with four young children seeking a highly experienced, full-time, year-round housekeeper / family assistant to join our household. This is a long-term opportunity that offers the chance to travel domestically and internationally with our family, so a passion for adventure and flexibility are key. We value stability and are looking for someone with a proven track record of long tenure in previous roles. This role will be about 80% housekeeping and organizing and 20% family assistance with the kids. 

What You’ll Do

• Keep our home spotless, welcoming, and beautifully maintained.  
• Make beds daily and refresh linens as needed.  
• Manage family laundry, including washing, folding, and wardrobe organization (expertise in fabric care and attention to detailed instructions is a must).
• Vacuum, and mop/swiffer floors daily for a pristine finish.  
• Dust furniture, moldings, air vents, and light fixtures regularly.  
• Clean and sanitize bath and powder rooms daily.  
• Maintain a sparkling kitchen by washing dishes, wiping counters, and cleaning appliances.  
• Tackle additional cleaning tasks like refrigerators, windows, and surfaces as needed.  
• Track and restock cleaning and household supplies, alerting us when replacements are needed.  
• Report maintenance issues or wear and tear on household items promptly.  
• Handle delicate items with care and report any damage immediately.  
• Accept packages and deliveries on our behalf.  
• Run errands to keep things running smoothly.  
• Pitch in with other family/household tasks as directed.

Childcare Bonus: We’re looking for someone who adores young children! Up to 20% of your time will involve assisting with our kids (ages 5 and under), such as supervising playtime or engaging them in fun activities. A warm, patient, and nurturing personality is essential.

Who You Are

• Bring 5+ years of housekeeping experience in private homes.  
• Genuine, trustworthy, and respectful with a calm, pleasant demeanor.  
• A team player who collaborates professionally with others.  
• Discreet and poised, with impeccable judgment around confidential matters.  
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
• Detail-obsessed, highly organized, and proactive—anticipating our needs comes naturally to you.  
• Comfortable and confident around young children in a bustling household.  
• Flexible and willing to go the extra mile, even outside regular hours when needed.  
• Skilled at managing time and prioritizing tasks effectively.  
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S., with the ability to pass a thorough background check and provide stellar references.  
• Ready to sign a non-disclosure agreement to protect our family’s privacy.

Schedule

• Typically 5 days a week, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.  
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or travel with us as needed—your adaptability is appreciated!
