Senior Couple Seeks non smoking Live in Private Professional Executive Chef/Houseman with a minimum of 5 years experience.
Location: Boca Raton, FL and North Carolina mountains
Overview:
A couple who is well known and respected in the culinary industry is in search of a Private Live in Executive Chef/Houseman who is responsible for preparing high-quality, pre approved healthy meals and household maintenance. This position requires no smoking, flexibility, owning a vehicle, ability to travel to summer home in the mountains of North Carolina for a maximum of 6 weeks, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask between cooking and household duties. The couple is looking for someone who is self reliant, hardworking and can take ownership of the role.
The applicant would have had previous experience working in private homes and the Boca Raton area. The person should be physically fit and able to serve formally and informally. As well as serving during the holidays when the couple have guests visiting. Flexibility with scheduling would be appreciated.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare daily meals based on dietary preferences and special requests.
- Ensure meals are well-balanced, nutritionally sound, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Should have formal chef training and confident cooking at a 5 Star level.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, keenly aware of food safety.
• Shop for groceries, managing inventory and kitchen organization.
• Handle meal prep, cooking, plating, and presentation for daily meals, special occasions and dinner parties.
• Adjust menus and meals based on seasonality and availability of ingredients.
• Cater to dietary restrictions or allergies (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.).
• Ensure proper storage and preservation of food.
- Driving principals to various events.
- Computer, TV and phone IT knowledge (e.g. Apple, Microsoft and smart home systems).
- Maintaining household errands, organization and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure household supplies are stocked, including cleaning materials, toiletries, and pantry items.
• Assist with setting up or clearing tables, serving guests and any other dining-related tasks.
• Promptly handle simple repairs or coordinate with service providers for household maintenance issues.
- Provide general support to other household staff, as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Professional Executive Chef.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to manage time efficiently, balancing cooking and household duties.
• Experience with household maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in both the kitchen and household tasks.
- Ability to work well with other household staff and vendors.
• Flexibility in work hours, particularly for event preparation or special requests.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
