Full-time Nanny/Family Assistant Needed in Los Altos

• A lovely family in Los Altos is seeking a full-time nanny/family assistant to care for their 3.5-year-old child. They would love to work with someone long-term who can grow with their family. 
• Both parents work full-time, mostly outside the home, and live in a single-story home walking distance to a wonderful park and playground.
• Their little one attends school during the day (until 4pm) and is a sweet and lovable 3.5-year-old who loves playing with trucks, Legos, magnets, building forts, Play-Doh, riding the balance bike, and outdoor adventures like construction and digging in the sandbox.
• The family values independence and would like a nanny who can encourage independent play and good manners, while fostering a loving relationship.
• The family has a small, sweet dog so please be dog-friendly.

Ideal Candidate:

• An active and playful individual who enjoys getting down on the ground to play and engage with the child.
• A strong and excellent communicator who keeps the parents informed about everything related to their little one.
• Someone who is creative and enjoys planning fun activities that promote the child's development and happiness.

Duties:

• Pick up the child from school and driving to activities, the park, outings to the pool, and tennis club.
• Prepare healthy meals for the child, involving them in meal preparation, which they love.
• Manage family laundry, dishes, grocery and sundry shopping, and running errands.
• Provide very light pet care, such as letting the dog in and out for potty breaks.
• Engage in playtime activities, sports like playing tennis with their little one, and outings with the child, promoting their physical and emotional development.
• Maintain a light tidying up of the home (they have a regular housekeeper).
  

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of paid, professional childcare experience that occurred over the age of 18 (not for family or friends) with excellent references
• Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and a strong driving record.
• Covid vaccinated and current MMR. 
• Legal work authorization in the U.S.
• Can make at least a one-year commitment.
