Handyman Groundskeeper

Description

A friendly and informal UHNW British family is seeking a proactive live-out handyman / groundskeeper to maintain the pristine condition of their 11,000 sq ft Miami Beach private residence. The person will report to the house manager and work closely with the live-in housekeeper and other vendors servicing the property. A strong command of the English language is required. 

Schedule

This is a live out position, day shift, Monday through Friday with a 24/7 mentality for emergencies, bad weather conditions or special events.

Responsibilities

• Performing general maintenance and repair tasks within the home and grounds and/or coordinate with the home manager and appropriate vendors.
• Conduct regular property walk-throughs to ensure home is maintained to the highest standards.
• Conduct regular testing of home equipment.
• Follow maintenance protocols for monthly/seasonal/annual checklists of the home, grounds and systems.
• Keeping track of inventory for tools, hardware and building material ensuring items are stocked and replenished in a timely manner.
• Report any issues or malfunctions to the house manager in a timely manner.
• Wash cars, yacht, jet skis, bicycles and outdoor furniture.
• Clean and maintain outdoor kitchen appliances such as BBQ grill, pizza oven and fireplace.
• Install holiday lights and decor.
• Other requests as needed.

Requirements

• Strong command of the English language.
• 5+ years of experience working for high end family or a luxury boutique hotel.
• Candidate must have basic knowledge of MEP systems so major repairs can be delegated to the appropriate vendors.
• Knowledgeable in maintaining high end surface material such as natural stones, exotic woods etc...
• Candidate must be able to take direction as well as be proactive and demonstrate a passion for the job.
• Adhere to strict confidentiality and security protocols.
• Positive attitude and high energy.
• Pet and children friendly.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Consent to a background check.
• Lift and move heavy equipment on the property, 35- 85 lbs.
