Full-time Live-out Housekeeper (M/F) job offer in New York City & Hamptons, US

Client seeks a Housekeeper (M/F) responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, laundry, wardrobe and organization of a private residence. This residence is not the principal’s main residence, flexibly is a must with site locations from NYC & Hamptons, NY, US.

This role includes “hands-on” deep cleaning, maintaining household inventory, and ensuring the overall comfort and satisfaction of the family members.

The Housekeeper (M/F) will also be expected to assist with special events and manage household logistics, oversee vendors and contractors while renovations to house are being made.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning schedules for the entire residence, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards. Hands-on with cleaning, laundry, wardrobe, general maintenance, organization of pantry, closets and wardrobe.
  • Perform regular inspections of all rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness, order, and maintenance.

Inventory and Supplies Management:

  • Maintain an inventory of household supplies, including cleaning products, linens, and other essentials.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed, ensuring the household is always well-stocked.
  • Run errands, food shopping, and drive to and from appointments as needed.

Event Preparation and Support:

  • Assist with planning and executing household events, including preparing guest rooms, setting up dining areas, and coordinating with caterers and other service providers.
  • Ensure the residence is prepared and presentable for family events, guest visits, and other special occasions.

Confidentiality and Discretion:

  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion regarding the family’s personal matters and household affairs.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in housekeeping within a private household or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and team worker skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Discretion and the ability to always maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Work conditions

  • Title of the position: Housekeeper (M/F).
  • Position to be filled: ASAP. Workplace: NYC & Hamptons Employment contract: Permanent, long-term.
  • Must have flexible schedules and able to work some weekends as needed for special events.

Salary

Gross hourly salary: $35-$45, depending on experience.
