Location: Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL
Ages of children: 3-year-old boy, 1-year-old girl, and a newborn
Start date: ASAP (flexible for the right fit)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (approximately 47.5 hours per week)
Compensation: $30-$40/hour, based on experience
Benefits: Two weeks of paid vacation (nanny chooses one week), paid major federal holidays, five paid sick days, monthly healthcare stipend if needed
Household Dynamic:
This loving and dynamic family is seeking two experienced nannies to work together in providing engaging and compassionate care for their three young children. The role requires a team-oriented approach, with the nannies collaborating to create a structured, nurturing, and enriching environment. The oldest child is almost fully potty-trained and has celiac disease, and the family will provide training to ensure both nannies are comfortable managing dietary needs. The children do not currently attend school, and screen time is not permitted during the day.
The family values nannies who take a gentle, redirective approach to discipline, have strong communication skills, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A background in teaching is a plus, as is a proactive and adaptable mindset. Responsibilities will include planning creative and age-appropriate activities, light meal preparation for the children, basic household tidying and organization, doing laundry for the children, unpacking groceries as needed, and tidying the kitchen while putting away clean dishes.
The home includes two friendly cats who do not require care. No car is needed for the role, but parking is available if the nannies choose to drive.
