Traveling Senior Housekeeper (New York City-Based)
Location: Primarily New York City with frequent regional/national travel
Compensation: Up to $60/hour DOE + Overtime + Benefits
Overview
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Traveling Housekeeper to support a dynamic household in their fully-staffed, multiple properties and a busy travel schedule. This role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, can quickly adapt to new settings, and consistently maintains exceptional standards of cleanliness, discretion, and professionalism—whether at a city apartment, a weekend home, or on the road. Prior experience traveling to multiple homes and managing housekeepers is required.
About the Role
This position involves providing high-caliber housekeeping and household support while accompanying the principals to different residences and destinations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable “dropping in” and seamlessly integrating into a variety of home environments with minimal direction. Success in this role means maintaining consistency in service standards across locations, anticipating household needs, and demonstrating the utmost discretion and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Maintenance

Perform daily cleaning routines including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, surface sanitation, bathroom upkeep, and bed-making

Conduct deep cleans during periods when residences are unoccupied

Handle and care for high-end furnishings, finishes, and textiles with attention and skill

Manage trash and recycling according to household protocols
Wardrobe & Laundry Care

Handle all aspects of laundry, including washing, steaming, ironing, folding, and organizing

Coordinate dry cleaning as needed

Maintain and organize closets and wardrobes with precision and care
Packing & Travel Prep

Assist with packing, unpacking, and setting up living spaces in new locations

Ensure personal items and household necessities are consistently available and well-organized across properties

Maintain continuity in housekeeping standards, regardless of location
Organizing & Inventory

Maintain order in cabinets, drawers, and storage spaces

Monitor and report supply levels, restock essentials, and coordinate with other staff or vendors when needed
Meal & Service Support

Assist with table setting, simple meal or beverage prep, clearing, and post-meal clean-up

Collaborate with chefs or other household staff during events or routine service
Other Responsibilities

Provide occasional pet care (e.g., dog walking) and manage incoming deliveries or packages

Support special projects, seasonal transitions, or home openings/closings
