Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable full-time - Housekeeper/Executive Housekeeper to manage a beautiful home in Highland Park. The home is approximately 8,500 sq ft. The home is formal and professional. As a Housekeeper/Executive Housekeeper your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of our clients' homes or properties. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to creating a welcoming and sanitary environment.

The family is formal, young, busy business professionals. They have a small child and use the home periodically throughout the year. The house has to be guest-ready at all times. It has to be stocked, the inventory managed, and the products rotated as expired. The couple is highly detailed and hopes to find a similar, like-minded professional. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform various cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces in assigned areas.
  2. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and living areas, ensuring all areas meet or exceed hygiene standards.
  3. Make beds, change linens, and tidy up rooms.
  4. Stock and replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.
  5. Empty and dispose of trash and recyclables.
  6. Run all appliances weekly, and create a maintenance checklist.
  7. Order online, use door-dash, shop at Costco, and manage orders and returns from Amazon. 
  8. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages to the appropriate personnel.
  9. Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
  10. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and promptly addressing their concerns or requests.
  11. Adhere to established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines. The family likes to use specific cleaning products. Must read and understand cleaning directions and follow them according to the manufacturer's instructions. 
  12. Follow privacy and security protocols to safeguard clients' personal belongings and confidential information.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Housekeeper or similar role, preferably in a residential setting.
  2. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  3. Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
  4. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  5. Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
  6. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects if required.
  7. Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
  8. Oversee, schedule, and manage vendors when the family is away from residence.
  9. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or extended hours as needed.
  10. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Must be able to communicate clearly in English. 

 Schedule - Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm with flexibility to work some weekends if needed, when the family is in residence
