Private Estate Houseman – Maintenance & Service Professional

A private estate in Westchester County is seeking a professional and discreet Houseman to join its household team. This multifaceted role supports a luxury residence by maintaining the property’s pristine condition, assisting other staff, and handling hands-on maintenance tasks with the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and upkeep to estate exteriors and estate interiors, including deep cleaning, moving furniture, and organization of living spaces.
• Manage minor repairs and general maintenance: troubleshoot and fix mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues, replace light bulbs, clean air filters, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Maintain exterior grounds and outdoor spaces: power wash surfaces, clean all patio furniture, assist with landscaping tasks, and oversee pool and water features.
• Serve as a liaison with estate vendors, contractors, and service providers; monitor ongoing projects and facilitate property access.
• Assist with event setup, hospitality, and guest care: arrange furniture, set up dining areas, and offer discreet support during gatherings.
• Monitor and support the security of the estate: check access points, maintain systems in good order, and communicate with estate security staff.
• Inventory and restock household supplies; report and resolve maintenance needs proactively.
• Fill-in/Support a second residence in Manhattan when needed/staff vacations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in private estates or luxury hospitality setting highly preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in general maintenance, minor repairs, and property care.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to work discreetly and uphold confidentiality.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and responsive to changing household needs.
• Proficiency with basic household systems and smart-home technology a plus.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks safely.
