Position: Houseman – Private Estate
Location: Lanai, Hawaii
Schedule: 40 hours, Monday to Friday. Must be flexible for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays and flexible to be on-call.
Compensation: $20-25/hour DOE plus Benefits and Mileage Reimbursement
Reports to: Estate Manager
A high-profile, fully staffed private estate is seeking a professional Houseman to join a small, collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a high-profile or ultra-high-net-worth household and bring a proactive, hands-on approach to estate maintenance and heavy-duty cleaning responsibilities. This role requires someone with discretion, physical stamina, and a strong understanding of luxury property care.
Key Responsibilities Include:
-Maintain the cleanliness of all exterior areas, including patios, walkways, rooftops, ponds, and parking areas
-Clean and care for outdoor furniture, pool decks, and clay tennis court (pressure washing, oiling, sanding)
-Provide general maintenance for estate vehicles and golf carts (wash, wax, vacuum, etc.)
-Set up, break down, and move furniture and supplies for on-site events
-Assist with transportation of high-value furniture and artwork between properties and warehouses
-Maintain warehouse organization and sanitation of trash collection areas
-Run errands and provide logistical support across the estate as needed
-Replace light bulbs and ensure all lighting fixtures are clean and functional
Requirements:
-Prior experience as a houseman in a UHNW or high-profile estate is required
-Must be a team player, willing to take direction and work closely with the Estate Manager and other household staff
-Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
-Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate power equipment (pressure washers, vacuums, blowers)
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Discretion, professionalism, and ability to follow safety and security protocols
-Willingness to be on-call and participate in a 24-hour radio/pager rotation
