BUTLER FOR YOU’s regular client, a family living in a Castle near Lake Constance in Germany, is looking for another Housekeeper. We recently placed an accomplished housekeeper candidate there, and now our client wants to add another housekeeper to the team!
This family are superb and deserves someone who will love their friendly, warm manner and do an excellent job as a housekeeper.
The standards are very high, so we are seeking an experienced housekeeper.
As part of the housekeeping team, the ideal person is a team player.
The housekeeper must be efficient and flexible in her tasks, have a good eye for details, have excellent knowledge of luxury and fine clothing, textiles and fabrics, be reliable and, above all, seek long-term employment.
The job involves washing/ironing and organizing delicate and expensive clothing, including silk, cashmere, velvet, suede and leather.
In addition to laundry duties, this position also includes general housekeeping in the couple’s apartment, such as Cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, polishing (silver, brass), organizing wardrobes, and cleaning and organizing the bathroom.
The ideal candidate must have experience handling luxury and fine clothing, luxury linens, delicate fabrics and expensive shoes, iron to a high standard and have very good organizational skills.
Duties:
- Managing the laundry for a married couple
- Carefully washing, ironing and organizing very delicate and expensive garments such as silk, cashmere, velvet, suede and leather
- Make sure everything is washed according to the colour and fabric
- Making minor alterations or repairs to clothing if necessary
- Sorting and folding clothes
- Seasonal organization of clothing
- Care of shoes
- Assist with other household tasks as needed, be flexible and willing to participate in a variety of tasks
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in this position
- Extensive experience and high level in handling laundry tasks, especially with luxurious, delicate and expensive fabrics
- Proficiency in ironing and arranging clothing with care and precision
- Experience working with fabrics and clothing materials
- Attention to detail with excellent knowledge of housekeeping procedures
- Being fluent in English, or any other language, is an advantage as they are an international team
- Possession of an EU passport
