A wonderful and active family in the neighborhood of Studio City, CA are seeking a seasoned, full-time, live-out, lead career nanny for their 4-year-old son, and daughters ages 10 and 13, to start immediately. The schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8am-6pm with some flexible to stay late or overnight on occasion.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all aspects of full-charge childcare, establishing and maintaining daily routines, planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities, encouraging practice of music, therapy exercise, and chores, driving children to/from extracurricular activities and play-dates, homework assistance, meal planning and preparation, child-related housekeeping including laundry, tidying up of the house, and ensuring their belongings are organized and maintained, providing updates to parents on children’s activities, progress or concerns, ordering any items the children may need, shopping including groceries, scheduling and calendaring of child-related appointments, and overseeing 2 other nannies to ensure cohesiveness, clarity and collaboration among the team.
Their ideal candidate is someone who has over 10 years of experience as a nanny, is passionate about working with children, is not afraid of a child’s sneeze or a sniffle and has just the right remedy, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, has knowledge of child development and developmental milestones, is kind but comfortable setting boundaries, is computer proficient and can navigate school websites, and is proactive and doesn’t mind pitching in where necessary. The family has a housekeeper and it’s important that the lead nanny be a team-player and communicate with all staff to ensure the household is running smoothly. This may include facilitating repairs and overseeing vendors from time to time. This is a busy household with two working parents who are looking for someone long-term that they can depend on.
The ability to safely transport the children in your own vehicle or provided vehicle, a valid CA driver’s license, clean driving record, Trustline certification, and Covid vaccination are required for this role. The ability to swim, travel, and speak Spanish are huge pluses but are not required. The family is offering a competitive compensation.
