Household Manager / Personal Family Assistant
Location: Austin, TX

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Household Manager / Personal Family Assistant to support a busy, dynamic household. This role combines household management, family assistance, and project coordination. It requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management

Plan and oversee household projects and seasonal initiatives

Track progress, manage vendors, and ensure timely completion

Maintain household systems and manuals
People & Household Management

Oversee daily household operations, including staff coordination

Build, maintain, and refine systems, SOPs, and checklists

Provide leadership and support to vendors and contractors

Proactively identify and resolve household challenges
Administrative & Personal Support

Manage calendars, appointments, travel, and family events
-
Coordinate child and pet care schedules and needs
-
Assist with bill payments, light bookkeeping, and petty cash

Oversee shopping, errands, and inventory management

Plan and support travel and packing, including traveling with the family as needed

Support occasional evening or weekend events

Experience & Requirements

Previous experience in a Household Manager, Executive Assistant, or Family Assistant role (multi-staffed households preferred)

Ability to manage multiple complex schedules and projects

Strong problem-solving and resourcefulness

Experience supporting children and pets

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to pass a background and credit check
Schedule
-
Full-time, Monday to Friday

Flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends with advance notice

Travel required up to 6 weeks per year

Approximately 50 hours per week
