PART-TIME HOUSE MANAGER, BOULDER, COLORADO - LOCALS ONLY

We are seeking a responsible, proactive, and personable House Manager to support a socially and politically active couple (and their three small dogs) across multiple residences. This in-person role involves hands-on oversight of household operations, vendor coordination, guest hospitality, and occasional travel to secondary properties. Clients are seeking local Colorado (Boulder or Denver) candidates, no relocation is offered and they would prefer to employ someone who already lives in the area and has local vendors.

The ideal candidate is a trustworthy self-starter with strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal instincts, and the flexibility to respond to evolving needs, especially when the principals are traveling. This role is ideal for someone interested in mindfulness and community engagement, who is passionate about making a difference while maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and liaise with service providers including cleaning services, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, and deliveries
  • Prepare guest accommodations, handle guest laundry, manage guest schedules, and ensure post-departure tidiness
  • Maintain general tidiness, oversee light organizing projects, and assist with seasonal home readiness
  • Handle grocery shopping, light meal prep, and general errand-running as needed
  • Assist with pet care for three small dogs including grooming appointments, veterinary visits, light walking, feeding schedules, and boarding arrangements
  • Monitor and manage incoming/outgoing mail and packages, ensuring timely organization and delivery
  • Assist with planning and execution of social gatherings, including vendor coordination and on-site support during events
  • Support two residences (Boulder townhouse and mountain property near Conifer) 
  • Act as a reliable presence during periods when the principals are away, with availability for emergency needs or urgent tasks on short notice.
  • Utilize your own vehicle to assist with transportation needs as necessary, mileage will be reimbursed

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a House Manager or in a similar role (minimum of 5-7 years of experience with long term job history)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to anticipate needs and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Interest in mindfulness and inclusive practices
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and be comfortable with animals
  • A genuine love for small dogs is essential, and having no pet allergies
  • Proficiency in MAC/Google Suite and Sheets

Location: Boulder, CO

Schedule: 20-30hr/week on-site, occasional weekends as requested in advance

Compensation: $60-80/hour DOE + Benefits commensurate based on candidate’s experience
