Seeking a skilled, reliable, and independent chef to prepare and deliver authentic Shanghainese meals to a private client in Atherton. The ideal candidate is passionate about traditional flavors, operates from their own kitchen, and understands the importance of healthy, home-cooked meals.
Position: Part-Time Drop-Off Chef (Specializing in Shanghainese Cuisine)
Location: Atherton, CA (Chef must be local or willing to commute)
Schedule:
3 days per week (flexible on which days)
Drop-off dinner meals for 4 people per delivery (with leftovers in mind for next-day reheating)
Compensation:
Hourly/DOE

Authentic Shanghainese dishes such as:
Shengjianbao
Wonton
Jiaozi
Doumiao
Shizitóu (Lion’s Head Meatballs)
Pork Xiao Long Bao (using Kurobuta pork)
Stir-fried greens (kale, cabbage, bok choy)
Red bean mochi
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
Operates from a licensed or professional home kitchen
Can deliver meals to Atherton or coordinate pickup with PA
Experienced with Shanghainese cuisine and techniques
Experience with Japanese cuisine a plus
Sensitive to client’s food preferences:
Dislikes: sauces, spicy food, cucumber ? Preference: simple, nourishing, flavorful meals
Organized, self-sufficient, and communicative
