We are a professional, caring family in North Arlington, VA seeking a full-time nanny to care for our four young children, two of whom are on the autism spectrum. This is a childcare-only position — we have a dedicated housekeeper, so no cleaning or laundry is required.
The schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We also travel to Bethany Beach every third weekend, and while weekend travel is not required every time, we do strongly prefer someone who is open to occasional travel (with overtime paid). We are also open to offering additional weekend hours if desired.
During the school year, the nanny will primarily care for our two younger boys (ages 2 and 5), while the older children are at school. In the summer, there will be more time with all four children, though the older kids are enrolled in several camps throughout the season.
We are looking for someone nurturing, experienced, and reliable — someone who loves being part of a family team and brings calm energy and confidence to the day. Experience with children with autism or other special needs is strongly preferred.
This is an immediate need, and we are prioritizing local candidates who can start quickly without the need to relocate.
