A family of 5 in the Bal Harbour area of Miami is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a private waterfront estate. The ideal candidate will ensure the residence runs smoothly, maintaining the highest level of service, discretion, and efficiency. The House Manager will be responsible for managing household staff, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring a luxurious, well-functioning environment for the homeowners and their guests. The candidate must have the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently. The family has a couple properties in the Northeast, which will require some assistance and quarterly travel for this role. They are looking for a house manager that operates with the highest level of professionalism!
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: oversee the day-to-day operations of the estate, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards, supervise, schedule, and manage household staff, including housekeepers, chefs, gardeners, and other service providers, act as the primary point of contact for vendors, contractors, and service personnel, ensuring timely and high-quality work, maintain household schedules, including cleaning, maintenance, and special events, ensure the home, outdoor areas, dock, and watercraft are properly maintained and in excellent condition, conduct regular inspections to identify repairs, maintenance needs, and aesthetic enhancements, oversee household organization including storage units, help pack + unpack for trips, manage all construction projects and home decor renovations in the home, oversee security systems and coordinate with security personnel to ensure a safe environment, manage household inventory, including groceries, supplies, and luxury items, coordinate and oversee event planning, from intimate gatherings to larger social functions, ensure seamless guest experiences, providing top-tier hospitality services, prepare the home for the arrival of the principals and guests, ensuring all requests and preferences are met, manage household budgets, expenses, and HR questions for staff, maintain records of maintenance schedules, vendor contracts, and household purchases, handle personal errands and special requests as needed.
The schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:30-9am - 6pm or until the job is complete. Candidates must be okay with the occasional weekend need and be available 24/7 for any emergency call/texts/emails. They are offering $140-$170k DOE. There is the potential for discretionary bonuses. They offer a basic health insurance plan. The family has 2 dogs, so candidates must be pet friendly. A minimum of 5+ years of full time experience in a similar role is required! Candidates must be comfortable signing an NDA.
