Assistant Property Manager/Caretaker

A stunning private estate nestled in the heart of Mount Desert Island, Maine, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Property Manager/Caretaker to join our estate team. This is a unique opportunity to work in one of the most picturesque locations in New England, supporting the daily operations of a pristine and meticulously maintained property.

Position Overview: As the right hand to the Estate Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the estate. This is a hands-on position that blends property maintenance with administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance across the estate grounds and facilities
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment
• Supervise vendors, contractors, and seasonal staff
• Lead and support special projects and renovations
• Maintain detailed reports and assist with administrative duties
• Ensure the property remains in impeccable condition year-round

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in estate or property management, facilities maintenance, or a similar role
• Bachelor’s Degree in fields such as business administration, or construction management preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional, discreet, and reliable
