House Manager/Chef

UHNW Family located in Houston, Texas seek a strong seasoned professional to join thier team as House Manger/Chef with the ability to cook and serve lunch and dinner .  They expect their household manager to be polite and respectful as he/she represents them to the public.  This includes the family, extended family, friends, guests, and vendors.  The principals favor discretion at all times as well as highly valuing confidentiality.  Family has properties in Hamptons and Spring Lake, Nj and flexible to travel there also required. 

Duties:

• Responsible for planning diversified menus, prepping and cooking lunches and dinners keeping with dietary restrictions 
• Perform shopping for groceries and household supplies as well as errands as needed
• Responsible for managing and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Supervise and manage housekeeping staff, including-
  • Care of fine furniture, antiques, draperies and maintain security at all times
  • Proper care of fine china, crystal, silver and linens
• Maintain housekeeping routines for housekeeping staff (daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal)
• Manage all home maintenance, repairs and monitor systems including AV, HVAC, generator, pool, mechanical drainage, security, sump pumps and wine cellar.
• Supervise and manage lanscaping firm and own fulltime yardsman. 
• Schedule and supervise vendors and quarterly and yearly PM`s.
• Inventory of Wine Cellar
• Inventory of china and silver
• Assistance with planning and organizing events in the home
• Guest care
• Assist with packing and unpacking for travel
• Casual service
• Oversee care of pool house, pool, grounds, secondary home and storage warehouse
• Schedule and manage automobile care and maintenance
• Travel with principal as needed a few times a year
• Assist with exotic pet care as needed

Strong culinary skills desired.  Smart Home (Control 4, Savant or Crestron) and computer knowledge a plus.
