Early Childhood Educator (Private Family – Pacific Palisades)

Job Overview

A private family in Pacific Palisades is seeking a warm, patient, and creative Early Childhood Educator to provide engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences for two young girls, ages 2 and 4. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning through playful, structured activities designed to support early developmental milestones, while also introducing and reinforcing the Spanish language in daily lessons and interactions.

Schedule

• Days: 2 days per week (weekdays only)
• Schedule: To be discussed directly with selected candidates

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead enriching, hands-on activities tailored to each child’s age, interests, and developmental level.
• Incorporate Spanish language instruction naturally through play, songs, stories, and conversation.
• Introduce early literacy, numeracy, art, arts and crafts, music, and nature-based learning in a fun and interactive way.
• Encourage creativity, social-emotional development, and independent thinking.
• Incorporate gentle structure and routine to support consistency and growth.
• Communicate with parents regarding progress, interests, and suggested enrichment opportunities.

Requirements

• Education: Background in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Experience: Experience working with preschool-aged children in a private or classroom setting.
• Language: Fluency in Spanish and ability to integrate language learning into daily activities.
• Passion: Passion for fostering curiosity, kindness, and a love of learning.
• Professionalism: Professional, reliable, and nurturing presence.
• Certification: CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Private residence in Pacific Palisades, CA

Compensation

• Rate: Hourly rate to be determined based on experience.
