The Housekeeping Supervisor works independently & together as a team with current housekeeping staff and property caretakers to impeccably maintain multiple residences around the Bay Area. This position’s main objective is to ensure the properties are cleaned thoroughly and that the principal's preferences are managed on a consistent basis. 

This is a working supervisor position. Responsibilities include scheduling cleaning service shifts and organizing work assignments, supervising housekeeping staff and vendors in the completion of their assigned tasks, maintaining housekeeping protocols and standards, training and motivating team members, and monitoring household inventory and housekeeping supplies. 

To be successful as the Housekeeping Supervisor, you must be able to develop and implement strategies to improve the functioning of the housekeeping department. An exceptional Housekeeping Supervisor will have excellent management and communication skills. The Housekeeping Supervisor will ensure that operations run efficiently at all properties and report any issues in a timely manner through various software platforms. The Housekeeping Supervisor will report to the Director of Properties and work closely with the Assistant Property Manager on a daily basis. 

Primary work location will be in the Bay Area and frequent travel between properties is required. Most travel is within 1 hour of San Francisco, however travel to Tahoe may be needed on an infrequent basis. 


Essential Duties:

  • Perform duties discreetly, allowing for privacy when family members and guests are present.
  • Assign housekeeping tasks to staff and inspect work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness and organization are met.
  • Schedule staff shifts and organize backup coverage as required.
  • Create and maintain documentation on property standards and procedures.
  • Investigate and address complaints or callouts regarding housekeeping service.
  • Train staff to properly complete tasks and responsibilities, along with safety procedures.
  • Inventory “never-outs” and cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed.
  • Issue environmentally safe cleaning supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff, as needed.
  • Perform various housekeeping responsibilities, including event preparation and clean-up. 
  • Work closely with Assistant Property Manager, Remote Properties Manager,Maintenance Teams, suppliers, and specialists on how to handle specific furniture items, fabric care, finish care, and ensuring proper training of special requirements to staff.
  • Clean and assist in the care of family pets.
  • Deliver excellent service.
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
  • Utilizes environmentally friendly cleaning solutions and techniques to minimize injury or illness.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in good condition & report any issues. 
  • Report on any shortages, damages, or security issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven personal housekeeping experience: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Supervising: 1 year (Required)
  • Excellent communication skills, and must be proficient speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Professional in appearance, demeanor, and execution of responsibilities.
  • Patience and flexibility in a very fast paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Exceptional service skills.
  • Proficient in technology including Google applications (gmail, google doc, sheets)
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record, insurance.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
  • Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Ability to climb stairs regularly
  • Visual acuity



  • M-F, with occasional weekends 

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Required)
