Personal Chef - Northwest Austin

| Austin, TX, United States

Posted Date 1/08/2026
Description

A private family of five (two adults and three children) in Northwest Austin is seeking an exceptional part-time private chef with a fine-dining or Michelin-caliber background to prepare elegant, health-forward dinners 2–3 times per week in a private residence.

This role is ideal for a chef who values precision, technique, and thoughtful simplicity, and who enjoys translating refined culinary training into beautifully executed, nourishing plated meals within a private-household setting. The family appreciates cuisine that is elevated yet understated, with an emphasis on seasonality, ingredient integrity, and disciplined execution.

Each service typically includes an appetizer and a composed main course with accompaniments. Menus should thoughtfully accommodate:

  • Parallel plated preparations for a family member following a nutrient-dense, organic, low-glucose, high-fiber, anti-inflammatory approach (e.g., wild-caught fish, lean proteins, omega-3–rich ingredients, cruciferous and green vegetables, whole grains, minimal seed oils).

  • Dishes that remain elegant, balanced, and approachable for children while maintaining a high standard of presentation and flavor.

This position suits a chef seeking a measured pace, creative autonomy, and long-term consistency within a respectful private environment.

Responsibilities

  • Curate and execute refined, plated dinners 2–3 times per week.

  • Develop seasonal menus with attention to technique, balance, and presentation.

  • Prepare all dishes onsite and oversee full kitchen reset and cleanup.

  • Source premium organic ingredients as needed (reimbursed if applicable).

  • Translate fine-dining standards into a private-home context with efficiency and discretion.

  • Maintain exceptional consistency, cleanliness, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Professional background in fine dining, Michelin-recognized kitchens, or equivalent high-caliber culinary environments strongly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of health-forward, organic, and whole-food cooking.

  • Highly organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented.

  • Discreet, polished, and comfortable working independently in a private home.

  • Flexible and responsive to evolving preferences and dietary needs.

  • Reliable transportation.

Compensation is competitive and aligned with experience, training, and scope of responsibility. Details will be discussed with selected candidates.

Please submit a brief introduction, resume, and current availability. Culinary portfolios or sample menus are welcome.
