Bucks County Family is looking to hire a Full Time Housekeeper for their family of 5
An ideal schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 10:30-6:30, with Monday's and Tuesday's off. Family is also open to a part-time schedule with candidate working fewer hours per day (5-6 days per week) or a split schedule. Ideally one weeknight per week would be shifted later to accomodate parents' date night.
The house is a 4 bedroom farmhouse situated on approx 6 acres. The family currently keeps a small friendly dog and a small flock of chickens.
The ideal candidate is a kind-hearted, organized, and detail-oriented housekeeper who truly enjoys their work, including cleaning, organizing, laundry, and cooking (meal kits to be provided). Must love children as the family has 3 - ages 7, 3, and 1 and may continue to grow. Family would love someone who wants to stay with their family for many years to come and flexibility in this role is key as needs evolve.
During the week, the primary focus will be keeping the home clean, tidy, and organized, preparing family dinners and after-dinner cleanup. On the weekends, house cleaning duties will lighten in favor of additional help with the children. Candidate must be able to intuitively move and work around the house discretely, as both parents are home (dad works from home office and mom is home with the baby). Best fit is someone with a can-do attitude and a flexible mindset who is able to help the home run smoothly. A positive, calm, loving disposition is a must!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Housekeeping: Ensuring all aspects of the property, interiors as well as exteriors are maintained and cleaned to the highest standard at all time. Tidying all rooms to ensure items are neatly stored, and rooms are clean and clutter-free at all times. Tidying the outdoor spaces of the property (front and back porch/decks and walkways) including covering/removing furniture covers based on weather, and maintaining outdoor furniture, Looking after the plants and flowers throughout the home. Maintaining guest quarters in between guests and as needed. After dinner clean-up, including dishes, trash, table and floors, and packing up any leftovers
Laundry: Completing the household laundry and closet organization. Ensure linens are freshened weekly or as needed.
Cooking: Comfortable in the kitchen and able to follow simple recipes. Will cook 3-4 family dinners per week from meal kits. No planning necessary, but must be able to follow simple reicpes and handle and clean cookware properly. Will also prepare healthy children's snacks and keep refrigerator clean and organized.
Childcare: Mother currently stays at home, but candidate must be comfortable with occassional sole charge of the children, and will serve as backup care to the baby 1-2x per week for a few hours. Candidate will also help supervise older children on the weekends as needed. One evening of babysitting per week will be included in FT hours. There is no expectation of "nannying" in the role, but candidate should love children and be happy to help out when needed.
- Comfortable English speaker; good communication skills, both written (text message) and verbal
- A valid Driver’s License, with own car to travel to and from work
- Legally able to work within the United States
- Minimum 5 years working in a similar role for a similar sized property
- Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; above and beyond attitude with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
- Cooking simple meals – able to follow recipes
- Loves children and animals - family lives on a small hobby farm with a dog and chickens, will bring on more animals in time

- $75,000+ DOE
