Private Housekeeper / House Manager | Bouldin Creek, Austin, TX

About the Position

Two busy tech executives in Austin’s Bouldin Creek neighborhood are seeking an exceptional Private Housekeeper / House Manager to join their household team. This is a trusted, high-responsibility role for a highly capable professional who takes full ownership of a luxury private residence and anticipates the needs of the principals proactively.

Candidate must be able to start work within 30 days, ideally sooner.


Schedule & Availability

Primary Schedule Options (one of the following):

  • Preferred Option: 6–7 hours per day, Monday through Friday + 2 to 3 hours on Saturday or Sunday

  • Secondary Option: 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday

  • Availability outside of regular working hours for remote assistance with adminstrative tasks on occasion

Flexibility Required:

  • Availability for occasional evenings (e.g., dinner parties)

  • Flexibility around travel, guest stays, and special household needs

  • Occasional schedule adjustments as required by the principals

This role requires reliability, responsiveness, and adaptability beyond fixed daily hours.


Household Scope

  • Primary residence for two principals

  • Coordination with full time private chef, security, and external service providers

  • High standards for organization, presentation, and discretion


Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5+ years of experience as a housekeeper or house manager in high-net-worth private residences

  • Demonstrated experience maintaining luxury homes to exacting standards

  • Extensive experience caring for luxury clothing, footwear, and accessories, including:

    • Fine fabrics, tailoring, and specialty garments

    • Proper laundering, steaming, pressing, and storage

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proven ability to anticipate the needs of principals without constant direction

  • Strong experience managing and coordinating all external vendors

  • Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel internationally

  • High level of discretion, trustworthiness, and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a combined Housekeeper / House Manager role

  • Experience managing multiple residences or travel logistics

  • Comfort supporting international travel and extended stays

  • Willingness (but not requirement) to occasionally travel with the principals to a residence in Paris

  • Familiarity with fine furnishings, art, and luxury materials

Responsibilities

Daily Household Operations

  • Maintain the home in pristine, guest-ready condition at all times

  • Perform hands-on housekeeping, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and organization

  • Oversee all household systems to ensure efficiency and consistency

  • Ensure the home is fully stocked at all times (pantry, beverages, household supplies, toiletries, etc.)

  • Coordinate closely with the private chef on kitchen cleanliness and household needs

  • Monitor the condition of the home and proactively address issues

Vendor & Property Management

  • Manage all external vendors, including:

    • Cleaning support

    • Maintenance and repairs

    • HVAC, landscaping, and specialty services

  • Schedule, supervise, and quality-check vendor work

  • Handle service coordination when principals are traveling

Events, Travel & Guest Support

  • Prepare the home for dinner parties, gatherings, and guests

  • Support event setup, execution, and post-event reset

  • Assist with travel-related preparation and logistics as needed

  • Provide seamless support during guest stays


Compensation & Benefits
